My approach as a counselor

As a counselor, I bring over two decades of experience in higher education to create a compassionate and understanding space for my clients. My background allows me to uniquely connect with those navigating life transitions, particularly students facing academic pressures and anxiety, or individuals feeling lost and searching for purpose. I believe deeply that everyone has the inherent capacity to heal, grow, and rediscover meaning in their lives.

My practice is grounded in empathy and lived experience. As a former single mother who has navigated both solo and partnered parenting, I understand the complexities of raising children in our rapidly changing world. Similarly, my experience with the aging community has given me special insight into the emotional challenges of becoming a caregiver for aging loved ones and supporting transitions to different care environments.

I create a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their stories, reconnect with their strengths, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence. My approach blends insight, experience, and heart to help each person on their unique journey toward healing and personal growth.

When I'm not counseling, I enjoy exploring my passion for music, which has been a lifelong source of joy and expression for me. I find that maintaining this creative outlet enhances my ability to connect with clients and bring a holistic perspective to my practice.
