My Approach as a Counselor

My work as a residential crisis counselor and couples therapist, also being a parent and husband has guided me to provide a safe, supportive, and empowering space for you. I work through the lens of attachment and how our relationships starting at birth have shaped the way that we view ourselves, others, and the world. During our work together, we will build a relationship that empowers you to explore your strengths, needs, areas of growth, and relationships at your pace to allow you to be the person you truly want to be. I strive to provide a judgement-free, sex-positive, kink allied, and LGBTQ+ allied space that allows you to be who you are.

My experience, both personally and professionally, has shaped my expertise in supporting people through mental health crises, attachment trauma, family trauma, relationship challenges, and ADHD challenges. My journey has allowed me to work with people of all ages and with many different challenges. My goal is to build a space away from the world briefly to allow yourself to breathe, rest, explore yourself, and work toward being the you that you want to be.

I approach each individual's or couple's treatment with a collaborative and individualized treatment plan. I utilize Gottman, EFT, and a person-centered approach for couples. I utilize an attachment based and person-centered approach with individuals.

Outside of Counseling

I am a father of two wonderful children who I raise with my wife. During my free time, I enjoying playing video games, reading (fiction and nonfiction), spending quality time with family and friends, cooking, listening/playing music, and trying new things.
